The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Monday night, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old man.
At approximately 10:56 p.m. on June 2, 2025, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Castle Gardens Drive following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they located a 19-year-old male lying unresponsive in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police the victim and another person arrived at the complex in a vehicle together. The victim reportedly exited the vehicle, after which the driver attempted to leave. The victim ran back toward the car and tried to stop the driver, leading to a struggle and multiple gunshots being fired. The suspect then fled the scene in the car.
Investigators later identified the vehicle, a 2016 Chrysler 200, as belonging to the victim. With help from the APD Real Time Crime Center, officers located the car in Dallas on Tuesday morning and recovered it.
The suspected shooter has not been identified, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
