Former Dallas Cowboys Player Arrested After Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Richardson

A 27-year-old woman was killed early Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash on North Central Expressway, and a former Dallas Cowboys player has been arrested in connection with the incident.

On June 7, 2025, at approximately 4:51 a.m., Richardson Police officers responded to a crash in the 2400 block of northbound US-75. The female motorcyclist, identified as Cody Morris of Plano, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles or individuals were located when officers arrived.

At 5:39 a.m., the Plano Police Department received a call from 25-year-old Kelvin Joseph Jr., who informed dispatchers that he had been involved in the crash. Richardson officers met with Joseph and determined he had been driving a BMW sedan northbound on US-75 when he collided with the motorcycle.

Joseph showed signs of intoxication and was arrested. He faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Class B Misdemeanor) and Collision Involving Personal Injury or Death (Second-Degree Felony).

Joseph is a former cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys and currently plays for the DC Defenders of the United Football League (UFL).
