On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office announced that 34-year-old Levarone Antwaun Edwards was found guilty by a jury of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Following the verdict, the court sentenced Edwards to 45 years in prison.
The conviction stems from a February 2024 investigation in which Fort Worth Police executed a search warrant at an apartment on Las Vegas Trail. Officers discovered methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin, along with drug paraphernalia and a firearm.
Edwards had a prior criminal record, including convictions for unlawful possession of a firearm and robbery causing bodily injury.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Sarah Bruner and Kole Read, with DA investigator Sean Wheetley assisting in the investigation.
