Fort Worth Homicide: One Dead, Five Injured in West 7th Area Shooting

On the early morning of Sunday, October 5, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Fort Worth Police Central Division officers responded to a shooting call in the 3000 block of Bledsoe Street, located in the West 7th area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male inside a business, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 31-year-old Patrique Dumonne Allen. He had suffered apparent gunshot wounds to his upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

In addition to the fatality, five other individuals were struck by gunfire. Some were transported by ambulance, while others self-transported to nearby hospitals. Police report that all five surviving victims are in stable condition at this time.

Initial investigation suggests the shooting was unprovoked. Homicide detectives confirmed that unknown suspects fired handguns inside the business and fled on foot before officers arrived. Authorities are investigating the incident as potentially gang-related, but details remain preliminary. No arrests have been made.

Fort Worth police continue to investigate the case and are asking anyone with information to contact the Fort Worth Police Department Homicide Unit.
