Three Arrested in Bold Jewelry Store Burglary with Roof Entry and Radio Jammers in Irving

Alejandro Rodriguez-Gonzalez, Juan Becerra-Araya and Gean Becerra-Paez

On September 24, 2025, Irving Police officers responded to an alarm at Jewel India, a jewelry store in the 8700 block of N. MacArthur Blvd in Valley Ranch, around 1:50 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the back door open and two ladders positioned on either side of the building, giving access to the roof.

Officers challenged the suspects with commands to show their hands, but they retreated further into the store. Interference from two radio jamming devices inside the building temporarily disrupted police communications. Officer Jones ran to inform dispatch that additional units were needed, while Officer Dunlop maintained a position at the back door.

As backup units arrived, a drone was deployed over the building. Police located 26-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez-Gonzalez inside the store and took him into custody. Two other suspects, 21-year-old Juan Becerra-Araya and 18-year-old Gean Becerra-Paez, were apprehended on the rooftop. Evidence indicated the suspects had broken through the roof, leaving a four-foot hole and damaged roof tiles, suggesting they entered with the intent to commit theft.

Two radio jammers were recovered and disabled, restoring police communications. All three suspects were booked into the Irving Jail and charged with Burglary of a Building and Interference with Radio Frequency. Gean Becerra-Paez is also subject to an ICE hold.

This arrest highlights the swift coordination and resourcefulness of Irving Police officers in handling a complex burglary in progress.
