Dallas Love Field Launches Donation Drive to Support Federal Workers During Government Shutdown

DALLAS, TX -  Dallas Love Field is hosting a week-long donation drive to support the airport’s over 300 federal workers affected by the ongoing government shutdown. The drive runs from November 3 through November 7 and seeks contributions such as non-perishable foods and personal hygiene products.

“Operations at Dallas Love Field have remained relatively normal throughout the shutdown because our federal workers have not wavered in their commitment to ensuring air travel remains safe and our airport operates efficiently,” said City of Dallas Aviation Director Patrick Carreno. “It is our turn to show them support and provide some much-needed relief to them and their families.”

Community members can drop off donations at several locations:

  • Dallas Love Field – Main Info Booth, 8008 Herb Kelleher Way, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Garages A & B free first 30 minutes, Garage C free first 59 minutes)

  • Dallas Love Field – Cellphone Waiting Lot, Hawes Avenue and Herb Kelleher Way (NE Corner), 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Maurice Rayshun Smith Administration Building, 7555 Lemon Avenue, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For large or private donations, donors may coordinate with TSA point of contact Joel Barron at 214-952-5942 or Joel.Barron@tsa.dhs.gov.

The drive specifically supports federal employees working at Dallas Love Field and aims to provide tangible relief to those who continue serving the public during the shutdown.
