Dezmon Looney, 20, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated robbery in connection with a series of crimes in Dallas. Looney, along with co-defendants Jakylon Willingham and Jayrien Garrett, planned and executed a robbery at the Royal Lane Condominiums on April 4, 2024.
Investigators determined that Looney entered the apartment first, while her co-defendants waited outside. After a short confrontation and three gunshots, Willingham took marijuana and pills from the apartment. The vehicle used in the crime was abandoned nearby, linking Looney and Willingham to previous incidents, including an aggravated robbery on March 22 and a shooting on March 26, all involving the same firearm.
Looney accepted a plea deal, waiving her right to appeal. Willingham previously pleaded guilty to murder and aggravated robbery, receiving a life sentence. Looney’s 25-year sentence reflects her conviction for aggravated robbery only.
