A Tarrant County jury has convicted 37-year-old Daniel Park of aggravated robbery for a violent 2023 carjacking in Fort Worth, the District Attorney’s Office announced Friday. Park was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The incident happened on July 18, 2023, at a gas station on East Berry Street. Investigators say Park climbed into a stranger’s Mercury Sable and sped off. The owner ran after the vehicle and jumped onto the roof, but Park continued driving.
Inside the stolen car, Park found the victim’s handgun in the center console and threatened to kill him if he didn’t hand over money. Moments later, Park accelerated again, throwing the victim from the vehicle and slamming him into a concrete post. Park then drove away.
Fort Worth police found and arrested him later the same day. He has remained in custody at the Tarrant County Corrections Center since his arrest.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Emily Ledford and Kobe Landy, with investigative support from DA Investigator Darran Gabbert.
