Saginaw police are investigating a shooting that left a woman in critical condition late Friday night. Officers were first dispatched around 9:48 p.m. on November 21, 2025, to the 700 block of South Hampshire Street after a report of possible fireworks. While they were on the way, the caller told dispatchers the noise was actually a gunshot and that a woman had been hit.
When officers arrived, they found the victim in a driveway with an apparent gunshot wound. Fire personnel from Saginaw and Fort Worth began life-saving measures, and she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition. Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and say there is no immediate danger to the public.
A second call came in at 11:31 p.m. for possible gunshots near Parkwest and Longhorn. Officers arrived to find several people running from the area on foot and in vehicles. One vehicle fled, crashed in the 800 block of Blue Ridge, and the driver was taken into custody without incident.
Police determined a large party had taken place at a home on Parkwest, but they found no injuries or property damage. Investigators say this incident is not connected to the earlier shooting.
Saginaw PD thanked officers from Fort Worth, Lake Worth and Blue Mound for their assistance during the busy night.
