Suspect Identified and Arrested for Vandalism Spree in Downtown Denton

The suspect responsible for vandalizing several establishments in Downtown Denton last fall has been identified as 28-year-old Oscar Hernandez. Hernandez was apprehended thanks to the collaborative efforts of Denton police officers and detectives.

Hernandez was linked to multiple criminal mischief offenses, including vandalizing the Bayless Selby House Museum, the Denton County African American Museum, a private residence, and a downtown business. The damages incurred by these acts were reported to be significant.

On warrants related to these incidents, Hernandez was arrested by the Denton Police Department. Detective Padgett, along with Officers Hupp and Gruben, played pivotal roles in identifying and apprehending the suspect.
