Earlier this morning, Lake Worth Police officers responded to a theft in progress at a local business in Lake Worth. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Latoya Martinez, was reported to have fled into a nearby business as officers were en route.
Upon arrival, officers located and detained Martinez. The stolen merchandise, valued at over $5,500, was recovered.
In response to the incident, the Lake Worth Police Department posted, "As a department, we remain committed to ensuring that Lake Worth is a place where life and commerce thrive. Retail theft cases will continue to be aggressively investigated, and those responsible will be pursued, arrested, and charged."
