Deadly Arlington Crash Involves Multiple Vehicles and Pedestrians

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning, December 14, 2024, in the 300 block of N. Watson Road near Division Street.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle striking multiple pedestrians. Upon arrival, they found a 31-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman injured on the ground. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where the man was later pronounced dead. The woman remains in critical condition.

First responders also had to extricate a 34-year-old female driver from a vehicle involved in the crash. She was also taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Investigators determined the 42-year-old woman had been driving along N. Watson Road when she lost control of her vehicle and went off the roadway. She then contacted family members for assistance. The 31-year-old man arrived in an SUV, parked with his hazard lights on, and was assisting the woman when another vehicle approached at a high rate of speed and struck both of them, as well as the SUV.

The Arlington Police Department has not ruled out the possibility that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, and charges are pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm the identity of the deceased.

UPDATE:  The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Tyler White.
