The Arlington Police Department is investigating an auto-pedestrian hit-and-run that resulted in the deaths of two people.
On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at approximately 11:32 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of E. Lamar Boulevard and Corporate Drive following reports of a crash involving multiple injuries. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male and an adult female unresponsive on the ground. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities remain unknown at this time.
The driver of the vehicle, a silver Chevrolet Malibu, did not remain at the scene. Traffic cameras in the area captured the collision, showing the Malibu speeding eastbound on Lamar Boulevard. As it passed through the intersection, it veered onto the sidewalk, striking the pedestrians. The driver then fled the scene, heading eastbound toward Highway 360.
Investigators are working to locate the vehicle, which is expected to have significant front-end damage. No arrests have been made.
