A 21-year-old man was fatally shot on Saturday evening, February 15, 2024, in the 1600 block of South State Highway 121 Business at Oak Knoll Cir.
At approximately 8:26 PM, the Lewisville Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers found Luis Tiant Kerby, 21, in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by emergency responders to perform life-saving measures, Kerby was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lewisville Fire Department.
Detectives from the Lewisville Police Department took over the investigation, processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses through the weekend. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine a motive and identify suspects.
Kerby was identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner and was known to reside at the Oaks of Lewisville Apartments, just a short distance from where he was found.
