Fugitive with 17 Felony Warrants Arrested in Dallas Parking Lot

On February 26, 2025, the Cockrell Hill Police Department arrested Brian Turner, a fugitive wanted on 17 outstanding felony warrants across multiple Texas counties for theft-related offenses and organized retail theft.

Turner had been targeting Home Depot stores throughout the DFW metroplex, stealing high-value merchandise. Working with Dallas PD and Home Depot’s asset protection team, Cockrell Hill officers tracked him to a Walmart parking lot in Dallas, where he attempted to use a false identity before being positively identified and taken into custody.

During the arrest, officers recovered $2,158 worth of stolen flooring materials, which were returned to Home Depot. Turner was taken to Methodist Hospital for medical clearance before being booked into Dallas County Jail.

Charges Against Turner Include:

  • Multiple counts of Theft of Property ($2,500–$30,000)
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon

Captain Shahin Allafchian of the Cockrell Hill Police Department stated, “This arrest demonstrates the dedication of our officers and our ongoing efforts to combat organized retail crime.”
