On March 3, 2025, at approximately 10:49 AM, Forest Hill Police were dispatched to a shooting incident at a car wash located in the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive. Upon arrival, officers immediately began providing life-saving measures to two victims, but tragically, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims have been identified as a 30-year-old Black male and a 5-year-old female. Preliminary investigations revealed that two suspects, described as Black males wearing blue jeans and grey sweaters, exited a white four-door Kia and approached the victim's stationary vehicle in a bay at the car wash. The suspects opened fire on the victims before fleeing the scene.
The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation with assistance from the Forest Hill Criminal Division, Fort Worth Police Department, Everman Police Department, Kennedale Police Department, and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office. This incident marks the fourth and fifth reported homicides in Forest Hill, compared to zero last year.
An active Capital Murder warrant has been issued for a suspect, though their name is not being released at this time as the investigation continues.
