A suspect involved in a series of carjacking attempts and a multi-vehicle crash was taken into custody by the Dallas Police Department following a pursuit across Coppell on March 20, 2025.
At approximately 5:40 p.m., Coppell Police Department (CPD) received a 911 call reporting an attempted carjacking in the 100 block of E SH-121. The suspect approached an individual in a business parking lot and demanded their vehicle keys. When the suspect was unable to steal the vehicle, they fled in another vehicle, causing a crash involving multiple cars before abandoning the vehicle.
The suspect then approached another person in the 600 block of N Denton Tap Road, successfully obtaining a second vehicle and fleeing the scene. CPD officers canvassed the area and coordinated with other law enforcement agencies in an effort to locate the suspect.
Later, authorities confirmed that the suspect had been taken into custody by the Dallas Police Department. CPD is urging anyone with information related to the investigation to contact Corporal D. Stanford with the CPD Criminal Investigations Division.
