Dr. Doug Won, 1990 graduate from MacArthur High School and co-founder of the Minimally Invasive Spine Institute, donated $20,000 in scholarship funds to Irving Schools Foundation December 14.
Dr. Douglas Won, MD, FAAOS, Director and Co-Founder of the Minimally Invasive Spine Institute, is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon, board-certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Won was chosen as one of “America’s Top Orthopedist/Spine Surgeons” in 2009 and 2010 by Research Consumers’ Council of America.
Dr. Won is uniquely trained in that he had both orthopedic-spine and neurosurgery-spine fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis and William Beaumont Spine Center in Michigan, both of which are considered among the most prestigious spine training programs in the world. His dual-fellowship training is recognized as the highest level in spine surgery training.
