On February 15, just before 8:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1600 block of South State Highway 121 Business. Upon arrival, they found Kerby in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
