The Blue Mound Police Department is actively investigating a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning, April 5, 2025, in the 1700 block of Glenn Drive.
At approximately 12:36 a.m., officers responded to a call reporting a stabbing at a residence on Glenn Drive. While the call was being dispatched, an individual believed to be involved in the incident walked into the parking lot of the Blue Mound Police Department and voluntarily surrendered. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Upon arriving at the residence, officers located one individual suffering from apparent stab wounds. The victim received on-scene treatment from emergency medical personnel and was then transported to a local hospital. The victim's current condition is unknown.
Preliminary information indicates that the suspect and victim knew each other, and investigators believe this to be an isolated incident, posing no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
