Emergency services responded to a report of a small plane crash near 15663 Cessna Road at the Propwash Airport at approximately 7:10 pm on Friday, April 11th, 2025. Fire, police, and EMS personnel arrived quickly at the scene.
Preliminary information indicates that a 2019 Saberwing Lightsport aircraft crashed under circumstances that are currently unknown. The number of individuals on board and the extent of any injuries are still being assessed. Law enforcement officials have secured the crash site and the surrounding area.
"We are actively working to gather more information and ensure the safety of those in the surrounding area," stated Fire Chief Matthew Mitchell. "Our thoughts are with those involved and their families."
Multiple agencies are involved in the response and investigation, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Denton County Sheriff's Office, the Denton County Fire Marshal's Office, the Justin Police Department, and the Justin Fire Department. Residents are being advised to avoid the area to allow emergency crews adequate space to operate and to preserve the integrity of the crash scene.
