Two Southlake Police Officers Injured in Separate Crashes While Responding to Fight

Around 2:15 pm on Monday, April 28th, two Southlake Police officers were injured in separate traffic accidents while responding to a fight in progress call in the 300 block of E. Southlake Blvd near Olivia Ct.

According to preliminary information, a motorcycle officer was traveling eastbound on Southlake Blvd with emergency lights and siren activated, along with a second officer in a separate vehicle. As the motorcycle officer approached Olivia Ct., a work truck reportedly pulled in front of the motorcycle to turn southbound, resulting in a collision.

A second officer, responding in a Police Tahoe with lights and siren activated, was involved in a secondary crash on E. Southlake Blvd near the intersection of Byron Nelson. In this incident, another vehicle allegedly failed to yield the right of way and pulled in front of the officer's vehicle.

The motorcycle officer was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Grapevine with non-life-threatening injuries. The second officer was treated at the scene and released with minor injuries.
