Two Shot, Vehicle Crashes Late Tuesday Night in North Richland Hills Neighborhood

Around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, multiple 911 calls alerted North Richland Hills Police to a vehicle crash and possible gunfire in the 8300 block of Emerald Hills Way.

When officers arrived, they discovered a wrecked vehicle and two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported by North Richland Hills Fire Department personnel for medical treatment. Their conditions have not yet been released.

Detectives are currently investigating multiple crime scenes extending from the 8300 block to the 8400 block of Emerald Hills Way.

Authorities have stated there is no ongoing threat to area residents at this time. The investigation remains active, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: NRHPD has updated the information on this incident.  Upon arrival, officers located two individuals with gunshot wounds in separate areas of the nearby apartment complex. A male victim was found inside a black Honda Civic that had crashed into a parked vehicle. He had sustained gunshot wounds and was transported by NRH Fire Department personnel to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. A second victim, an adult female, was located near an apartment door with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Officers rendered immediate aid before she was transported to the hospital in stable condition. At this time, no suspects are in custody.
