FORT WORTH, TX – A Tarrant County jury on Thursday, July 10, 2025, found Abdul Rashid Nasiri, 41, of Irving, guilty of Sexual Assault and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
The conviction stems from an incident in November 2021, when Nasiri sexually assaulted a female family member in her home in Bedford. Bedford Police officers responded to an apartment in the 2200 block of Murphy to begin their investigation.
In April 2022, Bedford Police, in coordination with the Irving Police Department, executed an arrest warrant at Nasiri's apartment in the 4100 block of N. Beltline Rd, near the intersection with W. Walnut Hill Ln in North Irving.
The case was prosecuted by Melinda Hogan and Danielle Bonanno. Dara DeWall served as the DA Investigator, and Clara Salvatierra as the Victim Coordinator.
