American Airlines Announces Six New Summer 2026 Routes from DFW to Europe and South America

American Airlines is expanding its global network with six new routes launching for summer 2026, including nonstop flights from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Greece, Argentina, and Switzerland.

Starting May 21, 2026, American will debut seasonal service from DFW to Athens, Greece (ATH); Zurich, Switzerland (ZRH); and extend summer service to Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE). The airline will also introduce nonstop flights from Philadelphia (PHL) to Budapest, Hungary (BUD), and Prague, Czech Republic (PRG). Additionally, year-round service from Miami (MIA) to Milan, Italy (MXP), will begin March 29, 2026.

Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, said, “Customers continue to tell us that Europe is where they want to go each summer, and these new routes make it even easier to cross the Atlantic in 2026.”

Highlights include:

  • DFW to Athens, Greece, with Boeing 787-8 service starting May 21

  • Extended DFW to Buenos Aires service through August 3

  • DFW to Zurich seasonal flights on a Boeing 777-200

  • PHL to Budapest and Prague seasonal service, connecting travelers to charming Central European cities

  • MIA to Milan year-round daily service starting March 29

American will also increase premium cabin offerings on flights to Tokyo Haneda (HND) from DFW and Los Angeles, with new daily Boeing 777-300 service from DFW beginning March 29, 2026.

Tickets for these new summer 2026 routes go on sale August 11 at aa.com and via the American Airlines app.

The expanded network underscores American’s commitment to providing travelers more destinations, convenient connections, and premium travel experiences across Europe, South America, and Asia.
