91% of all Irving ISD juniors who signed up to take the SAT yesterday completed the test. All in all 1,600 of the district’s 1,984 juniors took the test…the most ever for Irving ISD. The reason behind the record turn-out is the fact that the exam was administered during a school day and at no cost to the students.
Irving ISD is the only north Texas school district offering the School Day SAT. The agreement with College Board offers the test to the district at a discounted rate, gives training to administrators at no charge, and gives students free access to the SAT online course.
