Dallas Police and U.S. Marshals Apprehend Dangerous Domestic Violence Fugitive

Dallas, TX – The Dallas Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit, in partnership with the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force, swiftly arrested 28-year-old Darius Hinton following a domestic violence investigation.

Investigators determined that Hinton had taken a gun from the victim without permission and struck them in the face with it. Within a day, officers apprehended Hinton and removed a dangerous offender from the streets.

Hinton faces charges of Theft of a Firearm, a state jail felony, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Violence, a second-degree felony. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants for violation of supervised release.

Chief Daniel Comeaux praised the collaboration, saying, “Our Domestic Violence detectives work tirelessly to bring justice to the survivors of these terrible crimes, and the partnership between Dallas PD and the U.S. Marshals means we can get more of these violent offenders off the street to face justice.”
