Mac Arthur High School sent a record 12 students to the State University Interscholastic League Academic Competition in Austin and returned with some hardware. MacArthur's Social Studies team led by Head Coach Cody Dollar finished first in the state. The team comprised of Caleb Vinson, Ty Lyon, Jenny Maique and Louis Quinones had each member finish within the top ten individually. Spelling and Vocabulary finished third, but only four points shy of capturing the state title. Led by Head Coach Blaine Mountain, the team is comprised of Natalie Bradford, Semra Kutuk, Areej Mohamed and Faiza Zaheer. The Literary Criticism team finished fourth, led by Head Coach Blaine Mountain. The team is comprised of Many Huerta, Richard Tran, David Gleicher and Ciera Devore. Congratulations to MacArthur High School for a strong finish at the state competition.
