FORT WORTH, Texas - A 27-year-old Mexican citizen was sentenced to 35 years (420 months) in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges related to the production and receipt of child pornography, announced United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould.
Emmanuel Jacobo Reyes, who was residing in North Carolina at the time of the offenses, received the sentence on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from U.S. District Judge Terry Means. Reyes had pleaded guilty in July 2025 to one count of production of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography.
Investigation and Evidence
According to court documents, Reyes admitted to enticing a minor victim living in the North Texas area to engage in sexually explicit conduct, produce visual depictions of that conduct, and transmit the depictions to him.
The investigation was initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Fort Worth Field Office based on information provided by the North Richland Hills Police Department.
-
Digital Evidence: Agents reviewed the contents of the minor victim’s phone, which included screenshots of video chats between Reyes and the victim.
-
Identification: Since Reyes’s face was visible in some screenshots, agents were able to locate his social media profile, confirm his identity, and determine his location in North Carolina.
The investigation was a collaborative effort involving the FBI’s Fort Worth Field Office, FBI-Raleigh, NC, the North Richland Hills Police Department, and the Raleigh, NC Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Allyson Monte.
