FORT HOOD, TX - The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) continues its investigation into allegations against Maj. Blaine McGraw, a 47-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist assigned to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. McGraw is accused of recording patients without consent during medical exams throughout 2025, including one incident off-post at a private residence.
CID Special Agents responded promptly to the initial report on October 17, 2025, and apprehended McGraw the same day. He is currently held in pretrial confinement at the Bell County Jail. Investigators have conducted hundreds of interviews and reviewed extensive digital evidence as part of a comprehensive investigation involving 44 alleged victims, most of whom are female patients.
According to Army Special Trial Counsel, McGraw faces four charges and 61 specifications, including:
-
54 counts of indecent visual recording
-
5 counts of conduct unbecoming an officer
-
1 count of willful disobedience
-
1 count of false official statement
The case will proceed to an Article 32 preliminary hearing, where a neutral officer will review the evidence to determine whether the charges should move forward to a general court-martial. Army CID emphasized that the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court-martial and that the investigation remains ongoing. Additional charges may be added as the investigation continues.
