DALLAS, TX - Dallas Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday morning in the Lake Highlands area.
On December 20, 2025, at approximately 10:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 9000 block of Markville Drive. When officers arrived, they located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, the woman later died from her injuries.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting have not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing. The case is being documented under Dallas Police case number 181463-2025.
