DALLAS, TX - All lanes of Interstate 30 in downtown Dallas will be closed this weekend as part of planned construction activity by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The closure will affect both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-30 between the Interstate 35E and Interstate 45/US 75 interchanges. Traffic will not be permitted through the affected section beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, January 16, and will remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday, January 19, weather permitting.
TxDOT has announced that signed detours will direct drivers to the Spur 366/Woodall Rodgers Freeway as an alternate east-west route between I-35E and I-45/US 75 during the closure period.
The agency has advised motorists to plan ahead and expect traffic delays in the area. The closure is part of ongoing work in the I-30 Canyon corridor improvement project.
Previous and concurrent long-term traffic changes connected to the project include extended closures and lane reductions on nearby roadways.
Motorists seeking additional information about traffic conditions and future planned closures can consult official TxDOT traffic resources.
