GARLAND, Texas - The Nimitz Varsity Cheer Team had a strong showing at the Bravo Mega Nationals, earning top honors at the two-day cheer and dance competition held Jan. 31 through Feb. 1, 2026, in Garland.
The event, organized by Bravo Spirit Events, took place at the Curtis Culwell Center and featured teams from across the country. Nimitz finished as National Champion in the Small Coed division and also received the Best Jumps award in the Novice category.
According to Irving ISD, the team’s performance reflected months of preparation, with their energy, precision, and teamwork standing out on stage. District officials said the athletes represented Nimitz with pride during the national competition.
