MCKINNEY, Texas - A Collin County judge sentenced 53-year-old Christopher John Greene of Frisco to 50 years in prison last month following a series of guilty pleas related to the long-term sexual abuse of a child and the possession of child pornography. The sentencing, announced by District Attorney Greg Willis, concludes a case that first came to light nearly two decades after the initial abuse ended.
Greene’s primary sentence of 50 years is for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. He also received 20 years for Indecency with a Child and 5 years for Possession of Child Pornography. Per Texas law, these sentences will run concurrently.
A Decades-Old Secret Revealed
The investigation began in 2023 when a victim disclosed to a counselor that Greene had sexually abused them over a five-year period, starting when the victim was 10 years old. Though the abuse ended 17 years ago, the victim provided Frisco Police detectives with detailed accounts of the crimes that occurred in the early 2000s.
As Detective Nessa McFarland led the investigation, three additional men came forward with their own outcries. These witnesses alleged that Greene had abused them when they were children, with some incidents dating back as far as the 1980s.
Forensic Evidence and Prosecution
Following Greene's arrest, a search warrant executed at his home led to the seizure of a hard drive. Detective Walker Martin conducted a forensic examination of the device, recovering multiple images of child pornography that led to the additional charges.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Pierce Richardson and Anthony D’Amore, with support from DA Investigator Greg Bowers and Victim Assistance Coordinator Valerie Miller.
“This sentence means a predator can no longer prey on the innocent, because for too long, the innocent have paid the price for his crimes,” District Attorney Willis stated following the hearing before Judge Angela Tucker.
