On April 14, 2026, a Tarrant County jury found 38-year-old Kevin Holmes guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. He was then sentenced to 45 years in prison.
The case came to light inn July 2021 when a brave young girl reported that a family member had sexually assaulted her several times. She identified that family member as Holmes. Sadly, she was only six years old when the sexual assaults started.
The Fort Worth Police Department was contacted and investigated the abuse, which lead to an arrest on August 25, 2021. He was then charged with Indecency-Fondling and 2 counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. He was released on bond as the investigation continued and the court case continued its motion. He was taken into custody again on warrants issued in November 22, 2024. On that date, Tarrant County deputies executed an arrest warrant at the 3800 block of Crosslands Road in Benbrook, TX.
The case against Holmes was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney's Erika Staif and Alec Trono. The DA investigator was Tiffany Johnson and the victim coordinator was Cristina Rangel.
