DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that left a 22-year-old man dead Thursday evening in South Dallas.
Officers responded around 5:40 p.m. on May 15, 2026, to the 1700 block of Pear Street after receiving reports of a shooting.
According to investigators, officers arrived and found 22-year-old Daqualon Rudd suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. Authorities said Rudd was pronounced dead at the location.
A suspect(s) has not been identified yet.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing under case number 069586-2026.
