H-E-B Celebrates Opening of Mid-Cities Store Serving Hurst, Euless and Bedford

H-E-B officially opened its new Mid-Cities location on May 20, bringing the Texas-based grocery retailer's first store to the Hurst-Euless-Bedford area and marking another milestone in the company's continued expansion across North Texas.

Located at 2105 Rio Grande Blvd. in Euless, at the northwest corner of Cheek-Sparger Road and Rio Grande Boulevard, the 126,000-square-foot store is the 12th H-E-B location to open in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since the company's expansion into the region began in 2022.

The opening also marked another company milestone, as the store features H-E-B's 50th True Texas BBQ restaurant.

"We're excited to open our first H-E-B store in HEB and thrilled to join this vibrant community, strengthening our presence in the DFW region," said Juan-Carlos Rück, H-E-B Executive Vice President of North West Food/Drug Operations and Real Estate. "More than anything, our amazing Partners are eager to get to work, welcome our customers with open arms, and provide an unmatched shopping experience."

The store offers a variety of amenities, including a True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru, a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru, a fuel station with a car wash, and H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery services. The location is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

H-E-B said the store's design reflects the character of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford community while incorporating environmentally sustainable features, including LED lighting and carbon dioxide-based refrigeration systems designed to improve energy efficiency.

More than 600 employees, known as Partners, work at the new store. Job opportunities can be found at H-E-B Careers.

As part of the grand opening celebration, H-E-B donated a total of $40,000 to four local nonprofit organizations. The recipients included Special Connections, ArtsNET, the Community Enrichment Center, and Friends of the Hurst Public Library, with each organization receiving a $10,000 contribution.

The Mid-Cities location joins H-E-B stores in Plano, McKinney, Allen, Alliance, Mansfield, Melissa, Prosper, Rockwall, Forney, and Frisco. The company has also announced future stores in Irving, Murphy, Walsh Ranch, Carrollton, and Denton.

The opening comes as H-E-B continues to grow its presence throughout North Texas, where it also operates three Joe V's Smart Shop locations and six Central Market stores.

The retailer's next major opening in the region will be its Irving store at 2351 W. Interstate Highway 635. The H-E-B Irving location to open June 17 will become the first full-size H-E-B store in Dallas County.
