DALLAS, Texas - The FBI and Irving Police Department are offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a fugitive wanted in connection with the 2024 fatal shooting of two women in Irving. The victims were 55-year-old Juana Medina-Rodriguez and her daughter, 23-year-old Nayeli Bolanos-Medina.
According to the FBI, Hector Vicente Paguada is wanted on charges stemming from the Jan. 19, 2024, killings of two adult women in Irving.
Investigators allege Paguada shot and killed both victims in front of the 5-year-old son of one of the women.
In January 2024, Irving PD announced the arrest of two Irving women in connection with the double-homicide. The two were identified as 34-year-old Nicolle Stephanie Martinez-Tome and 30-year-old Yudi Mabel Paguada-Ruiz. They were charged with Tampering with or Fabicating Physical Evidence. Still, Hector Paguada remained elusive. Yudi Paguada-Ruiz's arrest affidavit said that she helped move the suspect's vehicle used in the murders. She was sentenced on October 17, 2024 to 5 years in prison for her role in the case. She is in the country illegally so she will be deported after release from prison. Martinez-Tome was also convicted and sentenced on June 11, 2025, to 3 years of deferred probation.
In February, 2024, another arrest was made. 32-year-old Yeferi Josue Aguilera-Hernandez was charged with Hindering Apprehension of a Known Felon for helping Paguada avoid arrest. According to the arrest report, Aguilera-Hernandez provided transport to Paguada from Irving to another county. He was also charged with Possession of a Child Porn found during the search of his phone. He was sentenced on November 22, 2024 to 7 years in prison for the Child Porn charge, but the Hindering charge was dismissed.
Suspect Believed to Be in Honduras
Authorities said the investigation determined Paguada fled the United States with assistance from others shortly after the killings.
He is believed to be in Honduras and is known to have used several aliases, including:
- Hector Antonio Matute
- Hector Paguada Pagoada
- Alejandro De Jesus Muniz Cruz
- Hector Martinez
According to the FBI, the fugitive is described as 5'06" tall (1,67 m) and approximately 160 lbs.
On Jan. 24, 2024, a Dallas County judge issued a state warrant charging Paguada with Capital Murder.
A federal arrest warrant followed on Feb. 29, 2024, after he was charged in the Northern District of Texas with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.
FBI Announces Reward
FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock announced the reward Tuesday.
"Today, the FBI is announcing a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Hector Vicente Paguada-Paguada. We ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the FBI," Rothrock said.
Irving Police Chief Derick Miller said investigators remain committed to bringing the suspect to justice.
"The families of these victims have waited more than two years for justice, and our commitment to them has never wavered," Miller said. "We will not stop pursuing Hector Paguada Paguada until he is found and held accountable. We urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward. One tip could make all the difference in bringing justice to these families."
