Martha Prado, a senior at Irving High School, competed at Skills USA for the State Competition finished in 2nd place and received the Silver Award. The six hour test included taking a written test, performing a mock telephone call, establishing an appointment for a client calling into the salon, cutting two women's haircuts, one man's haircut, and completing an up-do hairstyle on a twenty-one inch mannequin.
