According to release by the IISD:
Irving ISD – a district known for its innovation in a number of areas including instructional technology, career and technical education and community partnerships – is searching for a superintendent. Because input from all stakeholders is critical in this process, a number of focus groups and community meetings are scheduled. These meetings are designed to gather input and feedback that will be used to develop the superintendent profile for Irving ISD.
“Community input is an important part of this search process and we want to hear from as many employees, parents and citizens as possible,” said Irving ISD Board President Dr. Steven Jones.
The public is invited to attend any of the meetings* listed below. An online comment form is also available at www.irvingisd.net/superintendentsearchcomment.

To help guide the superintendent search process, the Irving ISD Board of Trustees has hired Bob Griggs & Associates, an experienced and well-respected search firm to lead the charge. The firm is working with the school board to receive valuable public input at these meetings. The school board has announced that it plans to name a finalist for the superintendent position in December 2013. More information can be found at www.irvingisd.net/superintendentsearch.
