Irving Schools Television will air video study guides for adults preparing for the General Education Development (GED) exam. Guides are provided by Texas Center for Adult Literacy and will air at 3 p.m. each Sunday for 20 weeks on Time Warner Cable Channel 98 or Verizon FiOS Channel 33.

Alexis Jones, freshman at MacArthur, was invited by USA Basketball to participate in the 2009 U-16 National Team Trials May 28-31 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Breanna Fields, senior at MacArthur, was named to the National All-Star Gymnastics Team from Texas and will compete at Senior All-Star Gymnastics Championships in Chicago May 22-23.
