The IISD Board of Trustees certified the election of two trustees and U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Mark Whittington administered the oath of office.
Previously, the trustees declared Heather Ashley and Valerie Jones, who both ran unopposed, as elected to the Board of Trustees during the regularly scheduled meeting April 6.
Trustees also elected officers for the coming year. Jerry Christian, Place 6, was elected president; Valerie Jones, Place 4, will serve as vice president; and Nancy L. Jones, Place 1, will be secretary.
