Irving ISD Awarded Six National PR Honors

The Irving ISD Public Information Department has won six awards in the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) 2009 Publications & Electronic Media Contest.
 
In the publications division, IISD won three NSPRA Awards of Merit for the following submissions: Teacher Recruiting Brochure, Inside IISD, and District Weekly. IISD also won an Award of Honorable Mention for the IISD Information Folder.
 
In the electronic media division, IISD won two Awards of Honorable Mention for the Irving School for the Deaf information video and the Career & Technical Education information video.
 
There were 698 entries in the publications division of the national contest, with 168 receiving Awards of Merit and 226 receiving Awards of Honorable Mention. In the electronic media division, there were 165 entries, and 27 received Awards of Honorable Mention.
