Aamilah Chowdhury, from Irving TX, was awarded the Notorious RBG Women of Tomorrow Scholarship by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). This scholarship was established to recognize female scholars who have demonstrated leadership skills and their efforts to embody the spirit of Ruth Bader Ginsberg (RBG) within their own communities. Additionally, out of 100+ applicants, Aamilah was one of 10 students to be awarded this $1,000 scholarship.
Aamliah has been inspired by RBG ever since she was a little girl. Aamilah’s admiration of her led her to want to become a changemaker. Aamilah is passionate with Boundless Brilliance, whose goal is empowering young women in the sciences. As a Boundless Brilliance’s curriculum associate, she designs lessons for children about topics such as ocean acidification and chlorophyll. Aamilah also designs empowering activities concerning equity, kindness, and collaboration. Furthermore, when Hurricane Harvey damaged Houston, she planned a month-long donation drive to collect privations as National Beta Club President.
Aamilah lives in Irving and she graduated from Uplift Summit International Preparatory in Arlington.
