Five IISD seniors have been named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Seniors selected as Commended Students are: Pearl Choi, MacArthur High School ; Andrew Ellington, MacArthur; Max Savage, MacArthur; Silvana Torres, Nimitz High School
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. They placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who entered this year’s competition. Students were qualified according to their scores on the Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test taken during the junior year of high school.
