City of Irving City Council District 3 and District 5 Races Headed to Runoffs

Candidates in the Irving City Council District 3 and District 5 election races are headed to a runoff.  None of the candidates were able to secure more than 50% of the vote.

The run-off election day has been scheduled for June 10, 2023.

Here are the results:

District 3

1. Abdul Khabeer - 48% (772 votes)
2. Mark Zeske - 33% (528 votes)
3. Paul Bertanzetti - 19% (312 votes)

District 5

1. Mark Cronenwett - 41% (731 votes)
2. Heather A. Stroup - 28% (495 votes)
3. Matthew Varble - 25% (443 votes)
4. Jesse Koehler - 5% (83 votes)
5. Anthony Stanford - 3% (46 votes)
