The Dallas Police Department is urgently seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a suspect involved in a disturbing incident that took place on August 20, 2023. The incident, which occurred around 7:30am, involved an assault on a woman and a subsequent shooting of a man outside a business situated in the 9100 block of John W. Carpenter Freeway.
According to law enforcement officials, surveillance footage captured the sequence of events. The yet-to-be-identified suspect can be seen physically assaulting a woman in the vicinity of the business establishment. The situation escalated as a male individual rushed to her aid, engaging in a physical altercation with the assailant. As tensions escalated, the confrontation took a darker turn when the suspect produced a firearm and shot the male victim in the leg.
The suspect left the scene in a maroon Nissan Altima.
