The Marshall Grain Co., a longstanding organic garden center and pet supply store based in Grapevine, has officially broken ground on its newest retail space in Colleyville. The city of Colleyville has extended its support to the retailer by awarding a $50,000 grant, aimed at facilitating essential improvements for the upcoming establishment.
The future Marshall Grain Co. store, situated at 5311 Colleyville Blvd., is projected to open its doors just in time for the spring gardening season on March 1, 2024. Currently undergoing clearing and grading, the site is poised to feature a large greenhouse, complementing the existing retail store, warehouse, and open space designated for a plant nursery.
Founded in 1946, Marshall Grain Co. has been a prominent fixture in Tarrant County, originally opening its doors on Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth. The company has consistently adapted to the changing landscape of Tarrant County and expanded its presence. In 2009, a second outlet was established in Grapevine. Offering landscape design and installation services in 2015, the company experienced a subsequent closure of its Fort Worth location in 2016 due to economic challenges in the East Fort Worth neighborhood.
Currently operating from temporary quarters at 3417 Raider Dr., Hurst, TX, 76053, Marshall Grain Co. is eagerly anticipating the completion of renovations, marking the beginning of a new chapter with the forthcoming Colleyville location.
