City of Irving Launches $17 Million Esters Road Improvement Project

The City of Irving's Capital Improvement Program is set to commence its latest infrastructure venture with the groundbreaking of the Esters Road paving and utility improvements project. The undertaking, valued at $17 million, is scheduled to initiate in late February, unfolding in two distinct phases.

Phase I will focus on the comprehensive reconstruction of pavement and utilities along Esters Road, spanning from State Highway 183 to Rochelle Road.

Phase II will address the area just south of Rochelle Road, extending north of Twin Falls Street. Both phases of the project are slated to proceed concurrently.

The extensive improvements encompass the installation of a new water line, alongside the replacement of an existing water line, wastewater mains, storm drainage systems, and enhancements to concrete paving and sidewalks.

Anticipated completion of the project is earmarked for August 2025, contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
