New Flight: DFW to Brisbane
DFW will become the gateway to Australia with American's first-ever regularly scheduled service to Brisbane starting in October. This service will provide one-stop connections to BNE from over 100 destinations across the United States. Brisbane and the state of Queensland boast sensational coastlines, world-famous zoos, a vibrant cultural scene, and 280 days of sunshine each year. American’s seasonal service to Brisbane will also mark the airline's longest nonstop flight.
Customers flying to Brisbane can experience enhanced comfort on American’s newly designed Boeing 787-9 aircraft, featuring 51 Flagship Suite® seats and 32 Premium Economy seats.
The joint business between American and Qantas continues to offer customers one of the most comprehensive networks connecting North America and Australia and New Zealand. Next winter, the partnership will offer services from Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK) and Vancouver, Canada (YVR), to four major gateways in Australia and New Zealand: Auckland (AKL), Brisbane (BNE), Melbourne (MEL), and Sydney (SYD). As part of the American–Qantas partnership, customers will be able to connect to more than 200 destinations across the U.S., and nearly 70 destinations across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific — more than any other partnership.
New Destinations: DFW to Sun and Beach
Starting Oct. 27, American will introduce service between DFW and Rio de Janeiro (GIG). The airline will offer up to four daily flights to GIG from the U.S., making it the airline with the most daily flights to GIG from the country. Additionally, American will restart service between DFW and Kona, Hawaii (KOA) on the same date, providing up to five daily flights to Hawaii from DFW.
